Dan is part of the solution

Dan is the gentle-hobo in responsible for all the cool drawings you see on our website, shoe boxes, ads, and other fun stuff of that sort, as well as the scribe and illustrator of the Moonlight Chronicles. As you hopefully know he has been doing all he can do reduce is already minuscule ecological footprint by riding his 3 wheel TerraTrike all over (he even took a 4700 mile trip from Oregon to Florida once upon a time).

Some fall ecoSNEAKS came early!

We are excited to share with you all some of our brand new ecoSNEAKs that are hitting out warehouse!

Check out the Carat for women - Which is a suede sneaker sourced from tanneries that are ISO 14001 certified (which is fancy industry talk that says the tanneries are making strides in becoming more sustainable by lowing their power use, water use, and implementing other waste saving programs as well as refusing to use certain nasty substances). Assesment is taken by a thrid party and renewed ONLY pending the factories continue commitment.  We are proud to work with companies woh are also acknoledging their environmental impacts, and doing something about it. 

The stripe you see is a recycled bike inner tube, and the bottoms are also recycled car tires. They are also made with organic cotton. The Carat retails for $65.00 (debunking the stigma that more sustainable products = more expensive) and we are offering free shippping.

 

We also have new versions of the womens Carousel that are made with a hemp uppers and really funky-fun colors.

There is also an ISO 14001 suede version of the cute ballerina flat.

We love sending gifts - especially the random stuf that ends up in our  office, AND ESPECIALLY to Scott up in Portland. Check out all the neat stuff that he got, and we saved from the trash bin.

well..if Dan Price had a job besides hobo'ng, then maybe he would ride his sweet new referbished trike to work instead of "all the time." now he can bring along his camera and all the other things needed to travel the roads of north america! check out his blog and the story of building this nice piece.

Gas prices (and profits) are certainly off the hook! So get off the pump this week and ride your bike to work this week. It will do good for your mind and body health. You might just hear a lot of your co workers saying "boy I wish I could do that..." so invite them along too.
